It was a dark and murky night.
The evening was the color of pitch, and an eerie mist hung over the night like gauze. Whatever light the moon could spare was filtered by moss hanging like spidery webs. Footsteps disappeared in water the color of ink, and what just brushed against your leg? Out of the morass, a howl shattered the air. If it was human, it was in terror. But what if it wasn’t of this earth? If this was a dream, you willed yourself to wake up. But you didn’t.
Wake up!
We at National Purebred Dog Day are delighted to welcome back Bark on the Bayou, the dog tested and approved homemade pet treats that includes cookies and jerky! They are reprising one of our favorite challenges, Swamp Monster!
The challenge: Swamps have a unique beauty, but beware of the night. Shadowy ghosts, the undead, and snarling beasts of the bayou own the dark. Our sponsor knows a little something about such things, located as they are in Louisiana bayou country. Your challenge is to scare our judges. Make them recoil in fear, or laugh doing it. Your entry should reveal a real swamp creature. It’s not pretty, but it is scary.
The prize: A fabulous gift box filled with all the yummy homemade treats that makes Bark on the Bayou a shop you’ll go back to again and again;
