Artist’s Thoughts:  My current works are the beginnings of a new path I have begun down in the context of my art. My intent is to translate the simple and everyday things in life into contemporary approachable art. I want to take every day simple objects that are familiar to most people and use them as base to create works of art that are assessable, relatable, and comprehensible. For this piece I wanted to keep a simple design that would translate well into a Poster, T-shirt or other items. As an adult I have always had Great Danes. I absolutely love the Breed and never considered having any other but during the pandemic I was asked to look after a beautiful Husky with blue eyes after her owner passed away “until they could find her a good home”. Well, I “Foster Failed” and now my handsome Fawn Great Dane, Noah, has a lovely Huskey sister named Luna. This is for them.
