Finnegan’s tail
In 2014, Guinness World Records confirmed that the world’s longest dog tail belonged to an Irish Wolfhound named, “Finnegan.”’ It measured an impressive 72.29 centimeters as verified by a witness, a veterinarian (who was required to measure it three separate times) and a video recording. That was then.
The record has been broken! “Keon,” another Irish Wolfhound (this one from Westerlo, Belgium), took the crown earlier this year with a huge 76.8 cm (30.2 in) long tail. Like “Finnegan,” “Keon” (whose name means “courageous warrior”) had to have his tail examined by a vet who measured it from the top of the bone to the tip, not including the hair. Meet “Keon” below:
