And The World’s Longest Dog Tail Belongs To…..

Finnegan’s tail

In 2014, Guinness World Records confirmed that the world’s longest dog tail belonged to an Irish Wolfhound named, “Finnegan.”’ It measured an impressive 72.29 centimeters as verified by a witness, a veterinarian (who was required to measure it three separate times) and a video recording. That was then.

The record has been broken! “Keon,” another Irish Wolfhound (this one from Westerlo, Belgium), took the crown earlier this year with a huge 76.8 cm (30.2 in) long tail. Like “Finnegan,” “Keon” (whose name means “courageous warrior”) had to have his tail examined by a vet who measured it from the top of the bone to the tip,  not including the hair.
