Australian Terrier Club of America’s “Down Under” Photo Challenge

We are thrilled to welcome new sponsors to National Purebred Dog Day’s photo contest, the Australian Terrier Club of America.

Plucky, spirited, and smart, the Australian Terrier is a small package loaded with curiosity and grit, qualities this native Australian needed to work on sheep stations, in goldmines, on the waterfront, and on homesteads where they controlled rodents, served as watchdogs, and were loving family companions. In honor of their keen and intelligent little terrier, the Australian Terrier Club of America is sponsoring the “Down Under” Australia photo challenge.

The challenge: From the Sydney Opera House, Uluru, or the Great Barrier Reef, to unique wildlife like kangaroos or koalas, Australia is an amazing land with a culture and vernacular all its own. What says “Australia” to you? How do you interpret “down under?” Your challenge is to effectively convey the essence of Australia through your entry.

The prize:  $100 Visa cash card
