Butterfly Nose

When a dog has patches of bright pink randomly situated on its dark nose, the dog is said to have a “butterfly” nose. This can occur on dogs with the extreme white spotting pattern such as Dogo Argentino, but most of the time, such a nose is associated with merles. That said, not every merle has a butterfly nose, and double merles and normal merles with fewer dark patches than normal are more prone to them.
