Right about now is a good time to be thinking about a really unique gift for someone special as we get closer to gift-giving season. Give them their dog to wear! Or, more precisely, have a garment or accessory knit from their dog’s hair. The pictures seen here show people wearing chiengora, or dog hair that’s been spun into yarn. Dog yarn is said to be like mohair, but more lightweight and more soft. There are lots of sources to help you out, including, ““Knit Your Own Dog:” by Sally Muir & Joanna Osborne,” but we like to support our own.
