The Barkley ads that began airing in 2013 are so popular because they mirror the human condition.  It’s worth noting, too, that Subaru is an advocate for pet safety in vehicles and teamed up with the Center for Pet Safety to find a better way for dog owners to protect their dogs in vehicles after discovering current restraints on the market – crates, kennels and harnesses – aren’t all that effective when put through collision tests.  We’re not sure things have changed that much since this article was written in 2013, but at least one auto manufacturer is aware of the challenges.
