In the world of tarot card readers, there are those who feel that many of our dog breeds have personalities very similar to the tarot cards. As we mentioned in a different post, we’re not sure if our leg is being pulled by these people, but we’re always game to explore how the world sees our dogs.

One tarot reader who subscribes to this school of thought has opined that because Neapolitan Mastiffs are gentle giants who are big, intimidating, and dominating by nature, they are natural leaders who prefer to be in charge. They’re not for clean-freaks, nor for people who buy air-fresheners in bulk. Self-assured, highly confident to the point of being a bit bossy and very protective of their family, the Neapolitan can be considered the Emperor of the Dog World (tarot card-wise).
