Not every Bull Terrier standard includes the wording, “Gladiator of the Canine Race,” but the Canadian standard does. We think it’s useful to be aware of how other registries and countries describe our purebred dogs, and certainly this description is apt for the Bull Terrier, a strong, athletic, muscular and brave breed if ever there was one.
