Like a Mouse’s Coat to the Touch

Never miss an opportunity to scritch the ears of a Scottish Deerhound. They are wonderfully soft – and according to the breed standard, should be. In fact, the ears must be “soft, glossy, like a mouse’s coat to the touch and the smaller the better.”

Did you know, too, that whatever color the dog, a Deerhound’s ears should be black or dark colored?
