Artist’s Thoughts: I let my love and joy for dogs guide my paintings. I want to show their dynamic beauty and different characteristics.

I would characterize my work as Textures and Patterns with the running subject matter of ‘Life.’ I’m an abstract painter, but my background is in watercolor and fundamental drawing. I submitted to this competition because one of the exciting subjects I love to express is ‘Dogs.’ I live and work as an art teacher in San Francisco, CA. I love expressing ideas by combining definite shapes, vivid colors, and textures from my perspective through my lens. I usually use watercolors with mixed media when I do realistic painting. It creates a visual interpretation of my thoughts. I adore all dog breeds, especially in this painting, images of Golden and Dachshund are my own, and others are also very familiar breeds
