Obo II: Now Part of the National Register of Historic Places

 

He won a silver cup for Best Cocker Spaniel at the New Haven Kennel Club dog show in 1884, and he is very important in his breed. Obo II, the dog considered to be the father of the American Cocker Spaniel, is buried at Rollinsford Grade School which was named to the National Register of Historic Places.
