Artist’s Thoughts: I wanted to capture my beloved Boxer dog, Owen. He was my fur baby. I have another rescue dog, but Owen always holds a special place in my heart.

I am an Assistant Professor at Farmingdale State College in the Visual Communications Department. In 2019, I received the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching. Prior to working full-time as a Professor, I worked as an Art Director and Graphic Designer in both web and print production where I worked on everything from trade show displays and package design to website production including design and coding. I love getting off the computer and going back to fine art as much as I can. I grew up painting my whole life being taught by my artist grandmother. Lately, my work is reflective of my personal life including my two kids, it brings me joy and an escape from reality from this crazy world. I always loved oils as a medium, however, lately, I have also been experimenting with graphite and watercolor.
