In southwestern Ireland in County Kerry is the “Ring of Kerry,” a 111-mile circular route popular for day trips and with tourists.  On this route between Cahersiveen and Glenbeigh is the Kells Sheep Centre run by sheepdog trainer, Brendan Ferris, multiple winner of sheepherding trials all over Ireland.  It’s a “must” visit for herding enthusiasts because different types of sheep are explained, demonstrations are offered, and Brendan Ferris is not only witty, but very good at what he does (to say nothing of his Border Collies).
