Artist’s Thoughts:  Rooby is a registered Australian Shepherd who came into my life in 2007 as a wee puppy. She helped me survive the end of a 20 year marriage and cancer. At over sixteen years old and with declining health, soon she will cross the rainbow bridge. This painting will remind me of what a wonderful dog she was.She has been the sweetest, most loving dog. Rooby loved playing frisbee and catching balls, and worked with me as part of a Trail Watch program on the municipal bike trail system. She loved meeting new people on the trails.  Rooby has been one of the best parts of my life. I wanted to paint a portrait of my dog at her best.
