Not long ago, we shared with you a marvelous commercial for REGA, the Swiss air rescue service. In it, a Saint Bernard (played by real Saint Bernard, “Zorayo”) does his best to respond to an emergency, but even Saint Bernards have their limits.

In another commercial, our hero hears the alarm call over the radio, dutifully sets off on his mission — but finds that he still can’t fly! We love him anyway:

In a different time and place, it was a one hundred pound Saint Bernard named, “Whiskey, who needed rescusing when he got stuck on top of the roof at a Spring Lake Park, Minnesota, home:

It took three firefighters to get Whiskey off the roof, which, as we suspect any of us would have done, was to have him go back the way he came. Read about it here.
