Much of what we know about dogs comes from the equine world, including our understanding of structure and terms. If you’ve been “in dogs” for any length of time, you’ll have noticed how many of your friends and acquaintances come from the horse world. If you are actually one of those people who’ve straddled both worlds, this one’s for you. Make your vacation plans now. Just saying.
The Lycetts Festival of Hunting will take place on July 17th, 2019 at the East of England Showground, Peterborough. And yes, that’s the United Kingdom. This is an historic and prestigious event that’s not only the annual showcase for the world of hunting, it boasts the greatest gathering of hounds in the country. See if the video below doesn’t “wet your whistle:”
Harriers, Beagles, Basset Hounds, and Bloodhounds will be competing, and as if that’s not enough, there will be displays of fell hounds, coursing dogs, and Sealyham Terriers, a breed that can use the attention. If you think this is an event you can attend, ticket information is here. If you DO go, we want pictures, videos, and a full report of what you saw. There’s an official NPDD tote bag in it for you.
