Artist’s Thoughts:   My inspiration derived from my late mother-in-law’s dog, Gandalf. As a purebred Red Doberman with a prizewinning bloodline, Gandalf was hyper alert to the physical and emotional needs of others as a Certified Therapy Dog. At first blush, most people at the active senior living communities were intimidated due the Doberman’s stereotype. Yet as soon as they experienced his gentle compassion, pressing the mass of his body against those in need, they soon felt the intention and power of a great soul. Gandalf’s gift.
