The Nose that Found 1812

Just how amazing is a Labrador Retriever’s schnozzola?  In 1987, construction workers in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada uncovered grave sites of soldiers who had died in the battle at Snake Hill during the War of 1812. Once archeologists located the general area of the graves, they brought in “Candy,” a search-trained chocolate Lab. Candy immediately located all the known burial sites — plus three more that no one had spotted. Impressive enough, but even more so when you consider that the little lady had found the remains of bodies buried 175 years before.
