The Pioneer Woman’s Basset Hound “Thing”

If you are a Food Network fan, you’re probably familiar with Ree Drummond, the host of the hit show,  The Pioneer Woman.  The “foodie” got her start on her blog and website, ThePioneerWoman.com, where she wrote about her long transition from city girl to country wife.

By her own admission, Drummond is “obsessed with butter, Basset Hounds, and Ethel Merman.” She had us at “butter,” but sealed the deal with “Basset Hounds.” She has posted pictures of her sleeping Bassets with the warning, “The following images may cause drowsiness. Use caution when operating heavy machine.” She has written about her beloved “Charlie” who died of lymphoma early in 2017, and has opined that “Basset Hounds are known for their rock-solid endurance. In their minds.” The other day, Drummond posted the following video on her Facebook page:

When it comes to Basset Hounds, we find that pretty much everything Drummond has written is worth reading. When it comes to other breeds, we rather like this post.
