Artist’s thoughts:

I was thinking of how loving and fun dogs are and how dogs are always in the moment.   We have so much to learn from dogs…unconditional love, kindness even when mistreated, loyalty, and bringing joy to others.   My goal was to capture the vibrant energy of this joyous creature…..his inner colors to bring a smile to all viewers.

Painting Details:

Why paint dogs? Because they represent the purest forms of unconditional love. They love irrespective of gender, race or creed. My love for dogs stems from the deep connection I have with my own pets. I have one Chihuahua, Maya, one Chihuahua/Poodle mix, Frida. These babies have enhanced my life in ways that I could never explain. I began painting in 2004, and my art is now nationally and internationally collected. In 2010 my work was also awarded the prestigious honor of exhibition at the AKC Museum of the Dog in St. Louis, MO.

I reside in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, NC. My studio is located in the River Arts District, Asheville, NC and open to the public.   I enjoying meeting people and their dogs while demonstrating and explaining my process. The goal with my paintings is to express each dogs vibrant energy, their inner colors. Dogs are my passion and bring me more joy than words can express.
