When you first saw this photograph, did you guess that this puppy is an Australian Cattle Dog?
This breed’s accepted colors with the AKC are blue (blue, blue-mottled or blue speckled with or without other markings that may be are black, blue or tan) and red speckle, but whatever color they are, and whatever face and/or body patches they will have as adults, Australian Cattle Dogs are born white. As ACD pups mature, their blue or red coloring emerges gradually around 8 to 12 weeks of age.
