Congratulations to Andy Murray on his second Wimbledon Title!  We admire all great athletes, but have a special fondness for the ones who love their dogs, and are visible purebred dog owners. Andy is “master” to his Border Terriers, “Rusty” and “Maggie May,”  but Maggie May is no slouch in the fame department. She has over 31,000 followers on Twitter (@maggiemay_hem), and with a little “help” from Kim Sears (Murray’s wife), she is the published author of a children’s book,  “How to Look After Your Human,” a guide to deciphering humans (proceeds go to charity).  When the dogs aren’t with Murray in Paris, California, or his Florida training camp, Murray Skypes them

Murray seems like a stand up fellow: He and his wife have funded two sniffer dogs named,”Murray” and “Sears” in support of the World Wildlife Fund’s fight against poaching and illegal wildlife trade in Nepal. He’s also been known to risk injury by jumping into traffic to save a frightened dog running among cars.

The Wimbledon win was well deserved, but it also couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.
