Would You? Could You?

Would you clone your “heart dog?’

Laura Jacques did.  When Laura’s eight year old Boxer was diagnosed with a brain tumor and given a year to live, she was, as any of us would be, devastated. What she did next, you’ll want to read about here, but the question is on the table, and we want to see you answers below. Would you?

  1. I don’t know if I would or not. If money weren’t a concern, I might, but in a way I feel that it diminishes the impact of that unique dog’s personality on my life.

    • A good point, Melissa. It’s often pointed out that a dog is more than just its genetics, and that the dog we loved was also the product of experiences starting in the whelping box. If one had a spectacular dog that would be a real asset to the gene pool, and they’d be “ok” with the fact that the dog’s personality would likely be different, it’d be worth considering.
