Do You Pantoufle?

You’ve heard of bedroom eyes? Make way for “bedroom slipper feet.”

Admittedly, the French term, “Pantoufle feet” has a classier ring to it, but both refer to the profuse feathering of hair on the feet of a Cavalier King Charles. While the hair in-between the pads may be trimmed, the feathering itself never should be. This is a feature of the breed and is sometimes called, “bedroom slipper feet.” Fans of the breed, however, affectionally refer to them as “Grinch feet.”

  1. Tibetan Spaniels should have “Grinch feet” too. We trim the hair on the bottom of the foot, but never anything that would be visible as the dog is standing.

    • Good to know, Sally, thanks for the input and the visual aid!!

  2. Mais, les Papillons…..no, no, no……..lol
Well, sometimes I let my Papillons get a little pantoufle.
