The Siberian Husky, Giver of Life

The Buriats (or Buryats) are the northern most Mongol-speaking people, and the largest indigenous group of people in Siberia. Their tradition claimed that all men were born as dogs (steady, ladies), and that all women were born as women. Just as life came from dogs, it was also said that “life went to the dogs,” meaning that dogs were credited with the gift of life and death, and this is an early legend associated with Siberian Huskies.  Sibe owners, your dogs have some powerful juju. Just saying.
