The Goat Savior

Since 1994, the Cheetah Conservation Fund has placed over 450 livestock guarding dogs with Namibian farmers. The dogs – mostly Anatolian Shepherds, protect livestock from cheetah attacks, barking loudly whenever they see a cheetah or predator, scaring the big cats away. These beautiful cats are protected because farmers no longer need to kill them to protect their livestock and their livelihood. The dogs are at the core of its efforts to address the human-wildlife conflict that threatens the cheetah, and the video below is a nice overview of how it work.
