What is an “oriental expression,” anyway?

It’s described as a look of astonishment. It’s from the Japanese Chin standard that includes this line: “…the distinctive Oriental expression is characterized by the large broad head, large wide-set eyes, short broad muzzle, ear feathering, and the evenly patterned facial markings.”  The breed’s large broad head, large wide-set eyes, and short broad muzzle gives the breed a look of surprise that is so loved by its fans.
