The Obedient Boxer

Whatever else you think you know about obedience work (the dogs are robots, the dogs are bored, the dogs are yada yada yada), it’s generally not true, and thanks to one particular Boxer, we have evidence. Turn up your sound to hear ringside response:

 

Boxer owner, “Tammy,” noted that they did qualify with a 181 (out of a possible 200 points). The spin cost them 3 points. Easy for us to say, but think it was worth it to see the joy in this dog. In case you’re wondering, Boxers do quite well in obedience. The Obedience Trial Championship (OTCH) title, often referred to as the “PhD” for dogs and the highest obedience honor a dog can receive, has been earned by six Boxers, and there are quite a few impressive Boxers doing obedience work as evident by this chart.
