It is, perhaps, the most unique of statues installed to honor police dogs, and for good reason. The statue is created from apprehended knives, blades, and decommissioned guns as well as objects that relate to the lives of these incredible canine, things like dog bowls and whistles. The monument serves to recognize the hard work and contributions of police dogs, as well as the trainers and canine officers who deal with situations on a daily basis.
The statue created by Luke Kite stands was unveiled in 2019 outside West Mercia Police headquarters in Worcester, England. It recognizes the “loyalty and service” of the force’s canines.
We think you might agree that it’s pretty unusual, but fitting.
